About Jacqui
My name is Jacqui Young and I have been a freelance outdoor educator for the last 20 years and have a passion for water safety. I live in Cumbria – the Lake District - but my work takes me to interesting places all around the UK and abroad.
I am a keen mountaineer, having an International Mountain Leader and a Winter Mountain leader qualification but love being around water and have developed canoe, kayak, sailing and lifesaving skills.
I can teach and train the Royal lifesaving society (RLSS) National Water safety Management programme (NWSMP), National Pool lifeguard (NLPQ), Open Water Lifeguard (OWL), National rescue award for swimming teachers and coachers (NRASTC).
I am a member of the Kendal Mountain Rescue Team and love to go mountain biking in my spare time.
